Ranunculus
Ranunculus are a perennial flower that is grown from a corm commonly called a bulb or tuber, we sell them as a flower start. They do die back in the extreme heat, but if the corm is left in the ground and dead foliage is trimmed back they will regrow when the temperatures are right. Some will dig up the corm and store in a cool dry dark area and replant like bulbs. They like a well draining soil that is kept moist, not soggy otherwise the corm will rot. They prefer full sun in the cool weather as Summer approaches as they will die off in the heat around 70°F and above. The blooms have a large range of colors, dead head spent blooms to encourage the next round of rosettes.
